-PLEASE NOTE!!! There is a general misconception and rumors that go around every year about students not being allowed to take choir in 9th grade. That rumor is ABSOLUTELY not true. Students CAN and are ENCOURAGED to take choir in 9th grade. If a student does not take choir in 9th grade and their friends do, and then they sign up in 10th grade, there is a good chance they will not be in choir together. The friend who took choir in 9th grade will have a year of high school choir experience and will have the opportunity to audition for advanced choirs.
This is a BIG reason we encourage students to take choir in 9th grade. The list of required classes seems daunting, but it is entirely manageable! Many students take choir for 4 years and even have room to be in multiple choirs their 11th and 12th grade years, so do NOT believe those rumors!

Greetings Current Choir Students and Parents:
Welcome to a new year with the Chippewa Valley High School Chorus Department. I am very excited for the year to come! We have many wonderful musical experiences approaching for which I am thrilled! I am certain that with the hard work of the ensembles we will achieve great success. Chippewa Valley High School has such a rich choral history that we intend to continue to honor this year. With the strong support of the young musicians, parents, administration, and community, we have all of the tools necessary to ensure excellence. Again, I am honored to be part of such a wonderful program and am excited to continue my time with this wonderful choral family.
